Woodlands Community Garden

Middleton St Mary’s Woodlands Community Garden is an award-winning haven for wildlife, especially frogs and ladybirds!  Through a great project folder and investigations video recorded by pupils it is clear to see the great benefits that the nature garden has for wildlife and for the children.  All of the children help take care of and keep the nature garden tidy.  They enjoy gardening, planting vegetables and creating works of art to put around the school and donate to local care homes.  Each project teaches us something new and from this project we learnt that some ladybirds like lip gloss!
