Environmental Change

The Year 5 and Year 6 children of Castle Park Primary School have produced some wonderful work on environmental change, that has been compiled in a beautifully presented photo book.  They addressed a wide range of issues, in which the children were clearly very interested and involved.  The first was a proposed new motorway development nearby; the children made posters showing the pros and cons of building the new road and explored the effects it would have on wildlife in the area.

The children then researched and prepared excellent presentations on important environmental issues such as endangered animals, extreme weather, deforestation and global warming.  They also looked at pollution in our oceans and wrote some very impressive letters to politicians to express their views.  The children produced wonderful work on many more environmental issues such as recycling, renewable energy and designing more environmentally friendly cars.

The Year 5 and 6 children of Castle Park Primary School must be congratulated on the breadth and impressive quality of work they have produced on environmental change.
