Urchfont Church of England Primary School Highly Commended 2017, Totally Scientific - Wales & West

The children of Urchfont Church of England Primary School have been very busy finding out about the wildlife in their school grounds.  Their investigations included setting up wildlife footprint traps, analysing the footprints found and observing mini-beasts.  The information collected was then turned into a wonderful school wildlife guidebook full of interesting information and lovely illustrations.  The children clearly enjoyed working on this project and have learned a great deal about the wildlife in their local area.
