Lochdonhead Primary School Regional Winner 2018, Totally Active - Scotland & Northern Ireland

Lochdonhead Primary School's project developed the use of their recently created nature trail to provide a context for outdoor learning. They worked in partnership with their local community and community groups, such as the Mull Otter Group, to raise awareness of the environment.  The nature trail is a wonderful achievement and is being continually improved, for example, by the addition of attractive display boards to help visitors understand more about what they are seeing on the trail. The children also invited other schools to visit and give their feedback on the nature trail.  The Lochdon Swan Nature Trail is clearly a wonderful local asset that is enjoyed by many and is helping the children and community learn more about their environment.
