Vegetables, Wildlife and So Much More!

At Dane Ghyll school, pupils nurture the school grounds in every way possible.  They have a self sufficient vegetable garden, in which they grow many varieties of vegetables from seed. Pupils are also responsible for watering, weeding and caring for their crops. They take real pleasure from harvesting and cooking with their home-grown produce.
The school pond has a healthy frog population, whilst there is a willow arch, a mud kitchen area (where a hedgehog is living), a musical stumpery and bug mansions.  The judges continue to be impressed with the level of knowledge and commitment shown by Dane Ghyll School's pupils and staff.
