Whilst water was in the project’s title, all of the children at the school were involved in a wide range of environmental activities and learning. This included visits from Severn Trent Water and Arup. 34 of the school’s Eco Ambassadors visited Birmingham Botanical Gardens and found out about tropical animals and fair trade. They concluded their work by recycling plastic waste, creating cactus pots and mood emojis.
YPTE Director Peter Littlewood said, “It’s great that the children of Balsall Common have been able to continue their learning about the environment whilst the school has been closed.”
