Fundraising for Eo Projects - Brent Climate Showcase

Eco Champions from Years 5 and 6 printed canvas tote bags and pencil cases to sell them at Brent’s Climate Showcase and the school’s Christmas Fair. The tote bags were designed to encourage people to use them instead of plastic bags. At the Climate Showcase, the Eco Champions also sold posters they had created to encourage people to take small actions to benefit the environment, such as taking shorter showers and recycling paper and batteries. Three of the Eco Champions were winners of the ‘Faces of Climate Change’ photography exhibition and their photos were put on display in the atrium of Brent Civic Centre!

In recognition of their achievements, Kingsbury Green Primary School has received £500 to be put towards the school funds, empowering them to further their green initiatives and inspire future generations of environmentalists.

YPTE's Director, Peter Littlewood, commended the children's enthusiasm, stating, “The children did really well here, creating environmentally-friendly products with a message that they were able to sell for a profit. They will be putting the money they raised to good use by funding future eco projects at the school.”
