Environmental Projects at Wood End Academy

The children of Wood End Academy have been very busy helping the environment by taking part in a range of great activities including tree planting, recycling and monitoring energy and water use at their school.  They also participated in a Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling project by encouraging parents to donate unwanted electrical equipment, so that it could be responsibly re-used or recycled.  It is fantastic to see and hear how taking part in this project has changed the children’s attitudes towards the environment, especially about the importance of recycling resources.
