Weekly Fruit Barra/ Daily Tuck shop/ Eco Committee

Some P7 children from Royston Primary School work in partnership with North Glasgow Food Initiative to run a weekly fruit barra in the school playground. The fruit is sold at a discounted price is regularly promoted on the school's website and social media to encourage as many people to use it as possible.

Many of the children also regularly work in the school's two nearby community gardens, learning about seasonality and the skills they need to grow their own food.

The school's Eco Committee, which is made up of pupil representatives, is very active in promoting environmentally-friendly behaviour throughout the school.
