Sustainable Development Goals

The project from St Angela’s took the form of a video, presented by the children -  from the youngest to the oldest - which  showed lots of examples of their work.

The whole school learned about all 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals and in the process found out about topics like, COP26, sustainable cities, the impacts of pollution and climate change.  They also learned about sustainable consumerism.

Another of the Sustainable Development Goals is gender equality, and the children found out that St Angela, by teaching girls, was fighting for gender equality 500 years ago.

As a result of their learning, the children made pledges to help the environment, including walking to school, not wasting water and not leaving gadgets on standby.  They also pledged to eat less meat and use more public transport.
