Hutton Cranswick Community Primary School Regional Winner 2023, Green Researchers - North

Year 5 learned about the biomes of the world in order to understand more about nature and why humans need to do more to take care of it. They then researched environmental issues - particularly the human impact on our world and our local environment.  They looked at topics like rubbish disposal - recycling/reusing/repurposing, carbon footprints, renewable energy,  global warming, climate change, endangered species, deforestation. Their research gave the children a greater understanding of the issues and enabled them to have a voice on the kind of world they would like to see for their future.
