Wild Life Works garden

Many of the children at Cayley Primary live in high density housing with no access to outdoor space. The key ambition of the school's Wild Life Works project is for children to have hands on experience in nature, and to begin to learn the names of local wild life and care about it.  The project is already beginning to facilitate that vital outdoor learning.
The school is also offering parents the chance to be part of the team who  maintain the garden to small groups of parents and hopes to be able to offer a Forest School too.  It was great to see the children so engaged in the project and so happy to be learning about the natural world in an outdoor setting, whilst the impacts on the wider community have also been considerable.
