Warm Coat project

Having learned about the environmental impacts of fashion and the clothing industry, Wootton Primary's Eco Committee wrote an advertisement for the school newsletter to advertise the collection of coats that were no longer needed. The clothes were collected and sorted according to age and sold by the children to parents after school. The parents were asked for a donation rather than a set price. The children raised £76 which was put towards the purchase of a mini green house and gardening resources in readiness for the Summer term. The unsold coats were donated to the HOPE centre, which is a refuge for the homeless.
