The children at Fochriw Primary have been taking a closer look at squirrels in their local area and learning about how the populations of red and grey squirrels have changed over the last few decades and the reasons for this. As part of their research, they considered reasons why red squirrels are now endangered and what is being done to help. The children worked alongside STEM ambassadors from the University of York to investigate the habitats and food of squirrels near to the school. The children's work was beautifully presented in a folder. Fantastic research!
